What do Library Champions do?
They receive email updates about library issues quarterly and as needed.
When issues arise, Library Champions
take appropriate action, such as:
Making phone calls to local officials or state legislators
Sending emails or writing letters to community leaders
Meeting with local movers and shakers, or
Talking
about the library with their friends and neighbors.
Why do you need Library Champions?
Rockaway Township Library needs patron advocates to help us address a myriad
of challenges. Libraries are facing increasing pressure because of uncertain funding
in this economic
crisis, despite increased demand for library services, internet
access and programs.
Now, more than ever, we need people who believe strongly
in the importance of libraries to join our advocacy and education efforts.
