The Rockaway Township Public Library is planning to develop a new strategic plan and needs your help! The library seeks three members of the community to join its Strategic Planning Committee and help develop our road map into the future.
After the success of our last Strategic Plan it is time to once again consider what the library is doing well, where there may be gaps, and how the library might better meet the needs of the Rockaway Township community given the changing nature of media, informational technology and our community itself.
The committee will use a collaborative, multipronged approach to identify our community’s needs and recommendations. In addition to surveys, the committee will seek additional public input by hosting focus groups discussing specific topics that will be open to all members of the public.
After the planning committee has identified community needs, the library will develop new programs and services to address those needs and help move the library forward into the future.
The committee is made up of community members, library staff, board members, and the Library Director who will meet to identify our community’s vision and needs and, to set library service priorities.
Focus group participants are community members, library staff, and volunteers participating in one or more of the focus groups on individual topics as determined by the committee. All members of our community are invited to participate in these discussions at the library.
For more information or to sign up to be a member of the committee please contact Scott Davan, Library Director at 973-627-2344 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
