Kanopy

The popular on-demand film streaming service Kanopy is now available for free at the Rockaway Township Library.
Rockaway Township library card holders can access Kanopy and sign up to start streaming films instantly by visiting http://rtlibrary.kanopy.com. Films can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device or platform by downloading the Kanopy app for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast or Roku.
Offering what the New York Times calls “a garden of cinematic delights,” Kanopy showcases more than 30,000 of the world’s best films, including award-winning documentaries, rare and hard-to-find titles, film festival favorites, indie and classic films, and world cinema with collections from Kino Lorber, Music Box Films, Samuel Goldwyn, The Orchard, The Great Courses, PBS and thousands of independent filmmakers.

RBdigital

RBdigital (formally Zinio for libraries) offers free full color, interactive digital magazines for your enjoyment. Browse from your library’s collection of popular titles with no holds, no checkout periods, and no limit to the number of magazines you can download. Create an account using your library card on the website first, then use that same username and password to download and view magazines using the app on your iPad or Android device.

Search by keyword or try finding information within a specific magazine by typing “vacuums and JN “Consumer Reports”. If you click on the Consumer Reports link, you can browse the latest issues by clicking on the plus (+) sign next to the year (2016) and then selecting the date of the issue you wish to read ( eg Vol. 81 Issue 9 – Sep2016 ).

To access the mobile app:

  1. On your mobile device go to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and download the Learn Languages: Rosetta Stone app.
  2. On your mobile device visit jerseyclicks.org and click on the Rosetta Stone link.
  3. Enter your library card number if prompted.
  4. When the Rosetta Stone screen appears log in with your username and password and choose the language you wish to learn.
  5. On the next screen click the link that says Launch Rosetta Stone.
  6. The Rosetta Stone app on your mobile device will launch.
