The Rockaway Township Public Library is excited to announce we’ve taken another small step forward toward reopening. Effective immediately appointments for browsing will no longer be required, although we still suggest appointments for in-person browsing. Patrons will still be asked to limit their time to 15 minutes and browsing will still limited to new materials and front area of the Library only. Furthermore, we’ve expanded our browsing hours to begin 30 minutes after opening and end 30 minutes prior to closing.
In addition, we’ve opened up 2 additional computers for usage by the public for a total of 4. Computer appoints (45 minutes) are still required at this time as the number of computers is limited.
At this time tables, study areas, and meeting rooms are still closed. We hope that in the next few weeks we’ll be able to open the entire upper floor to browsing and expanded computer usage and will look to reopen tables and study rooms in the near future. The Children’s Room will remain closed for the foreseeable future as we’ve begun our renovation to the space. Please note all current virtual services and front door pick up will continue.
